HANK: BABY

Give me a baby and a pup, and I’m a happy girl. Oh, and chill parents are pretty awesome as well. ; ) Meet Hank, y’all! He was one month old when Lisa & Ed invited me to come photograph him. I just love reconnecting with past clients — I shot Lisa & Ed’s wedding a little over a year ago. And now they have this tiny ball of baby cuteness. : ) Thanks for sharing him with me (and your adorable pup, Izzy!). : )

Being a newborn baby model is hard work.

Look at those little buttons! Loved his outfit.

Favorite.

DONNA + CHRIS – Ritz-Carlton Wedding

This was the last wedding that I shot in 2012, and boy, was it a beauty! Go grab a hot beverage, you’re going to want to spend some time drooling over this wedding…

Donna and Chris got married at the Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Chris and I are cousins, and I was so honored/thrilled/happy/PUMPED when Donna asked me to shoot their wedding. I love Chris and his family, but over the course of planning the wedding, I got the chance to know Donna and her family better, and they are just THE SWEETEST! Chris, you caught yourself such a caring, beautiful woman. I’m so, SO happy for y’all.

The day went flawlessly, thanks in huge part to Lori Kelly. Y’all, this lady knows what she is doing! The details at this wedding were jaw-dropping. Literally… I think I found my mouth open in amazement pretty much the entire day. I loved the navy blue suits that the groomsmen wore and the elegance of the bridesmaids’ dresses. And Donna has killer style, so of course she looked STUNNING. I could go on and on and on (about the cake, the candy bar, the florals…).

Thanks again for having me, y’all! Now if only I was currently staring at this view… ; )

LOVED Donna’s dress and shoes.

Gorgeous.

Stud.

The family are HUGE Carolina fans. We had to!

LOVE LOVE LOVE.

: )

What did I tell you?

This is my absolute favorite.

Get ready to be blown away…

My uncle on the left and my cousins on the right… so fun to photograph family. : )

I think I almost fainted when I saw their cake.

Gangham Style!

THE IRVINE FAMILY

This family? My favorite. I’ve known the Irvines for 15+ years, and I’ve always appreciated their company, their love and their sincerity throughout my life. Mr. & Mrs. I have always been so welcoming and gracious — inviting me into their home time after time.

I can’t say enough good things about all three Irvine sisters — I call them all good friends. Rachel, the oldest, is a talented designer/creative genius, who also happened to coordinate my wedding (no small feat) and re-brand my business. Mary, the next oldest, was the maid of honor at my wedding and she’s like the sister I never had. She’s selfless and giving, illustrating that through her work as an advocate for children’s rights through the law and constantly fundraising for a worthy cause. Christine, the youngest, has just about every skill on the planet. Not only does she rock at photography (and other creative things!), she is also a certified yoga instructor and endlessly fights for climate change and equality for all.

Pretty incredible family, right? And their significant others are just as awesome. Irvines, you caught some good ones! : ) Enjoy my time with this sweet family.

Love Mary & Nick’s pup, JOEY!

ADORE this one…

JANELLE + TIM ENGAGED!

LOVE this couple. They are SO sweet and SO adorable together. I photographed Janelle & Tim’s engagement session in Charlotte, North Carolina, where they fell in love. At one point about halfway during the shoot, Janelle turned to me all teary-eyed and asked, “Is it normal to get emotional during your engagement shoot?” And then I teared up myself. We had a good laugh. : ) Y’all, I can’t wait for your wedding. It’s going to be AMAZING! Enjoy these two cuddle bugs.

So beautiful…

LOVE all of the cute details that Janelle & Tim brought along for the shoot…!

VICTORIA + BEN – Castle Ladyhawke Wedding

I am terrified of birds. T.E.R.R.I.F.I.E.D. I’m not sure how this fear originated. How did I survive this wedding, then? I think it was because Ben and Toria were SO sweet and fun to photograph that I momentarily forgot about the birds and clicked my little heart out. ; )

Victoria and Ben were married in early November at Castle Ladyhawke, a gorgeous venue tucked away in the mountains of North Carolina. It was truly a magical event. The details were awesome: a LEGO-inspired castle cake, a rockin’ invitation suite and fresh blueberries in Victoria’s bouquet, to name a few. And moments that I remember as extra special were the couple’s SUPER sweet first look and a HAWK delivering the rings to the ceremony. Insane(LY amazing!).

Toria & Ben, thank you for having me on your special day. I’ll truly never forget photographing your wedding… maybe you’ve cured me of my aversion to birds. : ) And thanks to Tye Harris for second shooting for me — always a pleasure!

Love this photo!

Loved that the couple watered a Bonsai tree during their ceremony.
