KELLY + BOB – Michels Center Wedding

This couple is OH-so-adorable…

Kelly and Bob were married at the Michels Center in Greenville, North Carolina. I met Kelly through one of my good friends, and I’m so glad that I did! : ) She and Bob were such a pleasure to work with and to photograph. Witnessing all the sweet, tender looks between them throughout the day made my heart so full for them. They are truly a match! Now on to some of my favorites from Kelly & Bob’s “Happy Day,” which they should totally trademark. So cute. Congratulations!

I love it when the groomsmen are totally willing to be goofy – I get some really fun shots!

Kelly & Bob opted to do a “first look.” This allowed them some private time to see each other before the ceremony, and it allowed me extra time to capture moments of them together. Win-win! : )

You rock, ladies! Loving Kelly’s expression here…

The heat that day made it a little difficult for Bob to get Kelly’s ring on… : )

A cricket hopped inside the many layers of Kelly’s dress during portrait time. I dubbed it good luck… ladybugs, crickets… same difference, no?

The traditional wedding cake and the gluten-free extra cake topper!

The couple’s friend, Keegan, played and sang Wagon Wheel (originally by Old Crow Medicine Show) at the reception. So good!

I thought this one of the garter & bouquet winners was a fun twist from the traditional bride & groom photo..

SAMANTHA + JASON – Belmont Wedding

Here’s to you, Mrs. Robinson… coo, coo, ca-choo! ; )

Samantha & Jason [Robinson - hence the reference!] tied the knot in late July in Samantha’s aunt’s backyard. I was in LOVE with the landscaping and layout of this space; it was SO beautiful. The gathering was a small one – family and close friends watched the traditional ceremony from around the gazebo. I’ve known Samantha since we were young ones, so it was a delight to see her so happy and in love. Congratulations y’all!

CAROLINE + CAMERON – Southport Community Center Wedding

Ohhhh where and HOW do I begin? Let’s start with an image where you can just straight up FEEL the love radiating between these two:

!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just brings a smile to your face, doesn’t it? : )

Caroline and Cameron were married on a super windy day in July at the Community Center in Southport, NC. It was threatening bad weather the majority of the day, but the rain held off until later in the evening. The wind gusts actually did ah-maaazing things for Caroline’s veil and kept everyone cool (enough). I had such a wonderful time spending the day with this crew. There were emotions galore… hence the megapost! MUCH happiness to you both, C-squared. ; )

And a big thanks to Logan Mock-Bunting for coming along to second shoot with me!

Cameron’s sweet card had Caroline pretty choked up. : )

I couldn’t decide which ring shot was my favorite:

The kids at this wedding were SO flipping adorable:

Yes – you see correctly. He was breakdancing.

Caroline’s mom’s toast elicited some funny reactions from the crowd…

Sweet mom/daughter dance:

A funny moment happened when – out of nowhere – Caroline and her sister’s young voices came on the speaker…

CLAIRE + ERIK – Inn at Erlowest Wedding (Part II of II)

Grab a cup o’ joe or large ice water – whatever suits your fancy… I have an epic post here! Meet Erik & Claire – a sweet, down to earth pair. ; )

Claire has been one of my dearest friends since grade school, and I was beyond excited (and touched) when she asked me to shoot her and Erik’s wedding in Lake George, NY this summer. Claire and her twin brother, Nick, have vacationed in Lake George every summer since they were young, and I can see now why they treasure it so much. This lake is SO pristine. And the 75-degree weather was absolutely perfect (a welcome change to the hot, muggy summer days here in Georgia).

The couple was married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and the celebration afterward was held at The Inn at Erlowest, which is a gorgeous stone castle situated right on the lake. Let me note that I have tons of dancing photos because this crowd was bumpin’!… so many bodies on the dance floor throughout the night. Love it. Congratulations you two – it was a blast! : )

Claire’s makeup artist brought with her a plethora of brushes and utensils. I was pretty much in awe…

Claire’s bridesmaids put together a scrapbook of her and Erik’s relationship – so cute.

You’re such a beauty, Claire. : )

Meet the honorary ring bearer – Claire’s great aunt’s stuffed bear that she’s had for 70+ years…!

Erik looked quite handsome!

I loved the retro cake topper! Claire borrowed it from within the family…

The wedding party got its groove on while being announced…

I had to give a shout out to my hometown friends… beautiful people. : )

Claire and Erik decorated the tables with young photos of them. Adorable.

A little bit softer now…

Lots of PSU alums at this celebration!

CLAIRE + ERIK – Inn at Erlowest Wedding (Part I of II)

What is better than doing the thing you love most (yes, photographing!) with some of your most favorite people in the world? I can’t think of many things…

I traveled up to Lake George, New York at the end of June to shoot my longtime friend Claire’s wedding. In my mind, this first picture encapsulates the feeling of Lake George: so peaceful, serene, lovely.

The day before their wedding, Claire and Erik (and the crew!) rehearsed at Sacred Heart Catholic and then dined at a family-owned lake house. I was so excited to finally visit the place where Claire and her twin brother, Nick, always talked about growing up. The town was so charming, and I loved all the awesome views. Stay tuned for Claire and Erik’s wedding day!

I always LOVED Claire’s laugh. I can almost hear it through the second photo!

Erik and his brother donned some colorful pants for the occasion. : )

Two of my oldest (and loveliest) friends in love:

I have the privilege of shooting this girl’s wedding this fall… I LOVE her bling and just have always loved her personal style:

Claire and Nick’s Nana is so spunky!

I always (sneakily) try to make it into my friend’s photos…!

Meet the STANIMAL!

Those shades are almost too hot to handle. Ah-mazing!

It’s tradition to jump off the top deck of the dock…

…I was told the water was pretty chilly and Nick’s blue-ish body here confirms it.
