SAMPRAS

I met up with some friends in Athens last weekend to do a quick holiday portrait mini-session at the intramural fields. This place is so expansive! It is a great place to take your dogs, and there are lots of trails to hike/run. I don’t want to give away the couple’s holiday card shot, but I had to post a few of their ADORABLE dog, Sampras. : )

LAURA + JAY ENGAGED!

Love these two.

When Laura got in touch with me to do some engagement photos for her and Jay, I was SO excited because I know how much fun Laura is. She’s just so laid back and endearing, and it turns out that Jay is equally as fun and chill. : ) These two are so perfect for each other; they don’t take themselves too seriously and make each other laugh nonstop (which is so important, in my humble opinion). And their good-natured personalities are so infectious; I was laughing just as much as them!

Laura and Jay both went to UNC-Chapel Hill for undergrad so we gallivanted around campus. To me, this place never gets old, the light was gorgeous that day and they were SUCH a treat to photograph. Congrats little sis (Alpha Delta Pi-sis!) and best of luck you two! We started at the Bell Tower where Jay proposed. This first series is the exact spot:

Laura’s mom bought them a fake plastic engagement ring when they got engaged so we HAD to have some fun with it. : )

I think this one is my MOST favorite.

WENDY + BRIAN – Reid Barn Wedding

Wendy and Brian: such a fun-loving pair! And truly meant for each other. : ) They were married at the beginning of October in Cumming, Georgia. Their ceremony was held at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, and their reception was at the beautifully serene Reid Barn (it’s a family-owned gem of a place!).

I have to mention that when I first met with Wendy and her mother during the initial consult, I felt like we were a match made in heaven. Now that may sound dramatic, but everything about her design/style/general aesthetic was just screaming the same thing that I want for my wedding next year! I was so excited. Not to mention… her down-to-earth personality was a major perk. They were an absolute dream to work with; I love enthusiastic and organized brides!

Congratulations Wendy & Brian. I am so happy for you two and wish you all the best in your marriage and life together!

Dad sees daughter for the first time… such a priceless moment.

Gorgeous gal…

The bridal party was so fun to photograph!

I couldn’t decide between the next two. : )

Brian got a little emotional during his vows.

The horses were very friendly during their couple’s session. : )

LOVE.

I love the logo that they utilized on their invitations and koozies. So cute!

Brian LOVES Little Debbie snacks, so they included them in the desserts/favors!

And thanks to Alyssa Alig for shooting with me.

SAMANTHA + BETHANY BRIDALS: UNVEILED!

I’ve been super busy these first couple weeks of October documenting some really amazing events… all of which are to come!

For now: a sisters bridal session. : ) Samantha & Bethany got married within three months of each other, and I had the honor of photographing both weddings! Samantha + Jason got married last summer, and Bethany + Rob got married this past weekend. I waited to post Samantha’s bridal portraits because I wanted to be able to share some of the images of them together. I thought it was such a unique thing to do. We did the session in their aunt’s gorgeous backyard, and here are some of my favorites:

RACHEL + BRETT – The City Club Wedding

Everyone, meet Rachel & Brett: two of the most down-to-earth, fun people that I know. And they are so adorable together!

They were married over Labor Day weekend at the gorgeous Charlotte City Club in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. Rachel is an uber-talented graphic designer and just an all-around creative spirit. From the programs to the tablescapes, the D.I.Y. elements she crafted into the wedding were so awesome! And Brett, you really rocked those argyle socks.

Because Rachel & Brett love to explore the world and have done lots of it together over the last couple of years, a travel theme was incorporated throughout the design. (Brett’s career moved them to Sydney, Australia for over three years, so they took advantage of the time they were there and traveled all over the Southeast Pacific. Jealous, anyone?)

Brett & Rachel, you guys are so great and I loved photographing your wedding! Can we do it again? ; ) Now on to their wedding day – so many favorites. The theme and the colors really made everything so cohesive and modern… SO excited to share!

The bridesmaids made Rachel a memorable scrapbook… : )

Brett’s gift to Rachel was a beautiful diamond & pearl necklace from Tiffany & Co.. No girl can mistake that blue box. ; )

Rachel incorporated her mother’s veil and wore super cute gold flats and beautiful *bling-bling* Kate Spade jewelry to go along with her color palette…

… and her vintage garter was something borrowed AND blue, which she found off Etsy (one of my personal favorite sites!).

How awesome are these ring bearer badges?!

Brett is a die-hard Brett Favre fan. What a great gift!

Loved the flowers in this wedding.

Helloooo beautiful!

Rachel’s cousins were the ring bearers and wore bow ties with planes!

Isn’t this sign so creative and functional all in one?

Had to sneak in that familiar skyscraper in Charlotte..

I loved the vintage postcard set up. The couple welcomed guests to write messages to them on the back!

I know it’s blurry, but I still love it…

The candy table was nothing short of amazing. The couple added a personal touch to it by labeling family & friends’ favorites!

The bridal party broke out in a choreographed dance during the reception. I love surprises!

The band, Timeless, rocked the party all night!

Rachel didn’t really know the words to Jimmy Buffett’s “Cheeseburger in Paradise.” Hilarious.

Rachel’s parents’ wedding anniversary was really close to the wedding, so she surprised them and had the band play “Colour My World,” which was their first dance song at their wedding 32 years ago.

And I have to give a shout out to the couple whose wedding I first shot solo! Kerri Neil & Andy, you guys look more in love than the day you got married two years ago. : )

Congratulations you two!
