This is probably the only post you’ll ever see from me without a photo, but I just wanted to announce that I’ll be in Las Vegas this week for the mac daddy of all wedding photography conventions: WPPI. I’m so excited about the speakers this year and can’t wait to see all the great products that will be offered at the trade show. See you in Vegas! : )

I had such a fun time with Bess and Stephen. They braved a cold morning with me (on Super Bowl Sunday at that — props to Stephen!) to do their engagement session here in Athens. They both went to UGA so we walked around north campus and then headed over to the Prince Ave. area. I’m super bummed that I’m not available to shoot their wedding, but I’m glad we crossed paths long enough for me to capture their sweet relationship. They also brought along their two golden retrievers (11 years and four months!) for a few photos, which was awesome because I’m such a dog-lover. Congratulations again you two! On to the photos…

Happy Heart Day everyone! Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be only for married folk, partners or lovers. I am reminded by a quote from one of my favorite movies, Love Actually:
“Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion’s starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don’t see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often, it’s not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it’s always there — fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge — they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaking suspicion… love actually is all around.”
This is a frame I grabbed during a recent e-session between two lovebirds. : ) More to come from their shoot later this week!

Let me introduce to you one GORGEOUS, off-the-charts fun family: Kerry & Evan and their children Daryn, 9, and Gavin, who is turning 7 this Saturday (happy early birthday!). : ) I had such a wonderful time hanging out with them, and I was giggling the entire way through my editing phase. Minster fam: I appreciate you letting me capture all the love you guys share for each other!
