People ask me all the time: what is your absolute favorite type of wedding to shoot? Well, here is the answer. : )
FARM WEDDINGS! Well, so long as I’m outside and capturing beautiful light and lovely folk. : ) Meghan and Thomson were married on a working farm in Weaverville, North Carolina in October. I’ve gotten to shoot at Claxton Farm before, and I was SO happy to go back. It was the last peak weekend for the turning leaves in the N.C. mountains, and I’m so glad I didn’t miss it. : )

Meghan and Thomson are HUGE lovers of the outdoors; Meghan works on the ecology side of botany and Thomson loves to grow their own food, so the farm was a perfect space for them to exchange vows. You could say that they are at one with nature. : ) And their love of plants really shined through in the reception space — the flowers/herbs/plants were nothing short of stunning!
M&T, thanks for inviting me to document such a beautiful day. I enjoyed every second! : )
Loved Meghan’s dress. LOVED it.
Sweet moment between dad/daughter right before he walked her down the aisle. : )
FAVORITE photo. So much tenderness.
I don’t normally post family photos in the blog, but look at the backdrop!
They had a clever way of highlighting Oregon, their current home.
Stunning, right?
I want to hang this up in my kitchen.
