KATIE + MATT – Charlotte City Club Wedding

I feel so extremely blessed this year to have had the opportunity to shoot so many gorgeous, FUN weddings, and Katie & Matt’s was certainly no exception. These two are so deeply, madly in love! Let me show you a glimpse… : )

Katie & Matt were married in early December in Charlotte, North Carolina at First United Methodist Church Charlotte, and the reception was held uptown at the always-classy Charlotte City Club. Here are the talented people that were involved in making their day extra spectacular:

When I think about Katie & Matt’s wedding day, I think about how effortless it was to photograph them. Their love for one another is so sincere, which makes their chemistry just pop out at you! And I also think about how GORGEOUS everything was. This wedding was all about some holiday sparkle, and well… BLING! From Katie’s beautiful dress to the jaw-dropping tablescapes to the lighted tambourines at the reception (YES!)… it was a truly magical affair. Enjoy my last wedding of 2011 — they are a lovely couple inside and out! Congrats a thousand times over, y’all!

I thought the full inscription on the inside of Matt’s ring was so sweet: “Me and you, Just us two.”

Due to an early sunset, Katie & Matt opted for a first look before the ceremony to take advantage of the light. I love how all the girls are taking advantage of the photo op too! : )

LOVE this shot… Matt running to his bride-to-be!

And this shot is HILARIOUS. The ACC championship football game was held in uptown Charlotte that Saturday, so we had quite a few onlookers (read: hecklers) during our portrait session. Katie was a good sport about it. ; )

So pretty!

I DIE over the flower girl and ringer bearer expressions during their first kiss as husband and wife. TOO CUTE!

This fur stole belonged to Katie’s maternal grandmother.

The cake was so elegant!

They had their duogram lit up on the dance floor throughout the evening. Too cool!

The flower girl didn’t like being the center of attention. Poor thing!

So tender.

During the reception Katie changed into a party dress, which was re-made from her mother’s wedding dress. I LOVED it! So glam.

Someone busted out a couple of hot pink wigs, a la Scarlett Johansson in Lost in Translation (one of my favorite movies)! Hysterical.
