Julie contacted me a little over a month ago to see if I’d be available to shoot her and Blinn’s non-traditional wedding the day after Thanksgiving. Since my fiancé and I were planning on staying local for the holiday, I was more than happy and honored to join in their big day. I really liked how they kept everything low-key; it fit the intimacy of the day perfectly. The brief ceremony was held at the new pavilion overlooking the lake at Reynolds Landing, and the couple was married by one of Blinn’s childhood friends in the presence of immediate family. Afterward, everyone headed to a cottage nearby for cocktails & pie. It was a lovely day, and the family was so incredibly charming. Take note that the groom had a broken thumb, and the family poked fun in one of the group shots. Hysterical! (Side note: Julie is a talented freelance writer. Check out her personal blog!)

You can’t blame the groom for wanting his choice drink during toasting time!
