I was thrilled to meet up with Caroline and Cameron last weekend at the N.C. coast. Before the session I asked Caroline why Holden Beach was so special to them. She told me that aside from being their typical vacation spot, Cameron, a Florida native, thought N.C. beaches didn’t compare… until he visited Holden. He was hooked! And during the shoot I could tell these two are definitely lovers of sand & surf… they were totally in their element.
I have to say that this couple is a riot! From twirling to jumping to tickling, they were always teasing and joking with each other. Being able to laugh with your partner is so important and just witnessing their relationship makes Caroline and Cameron SO endearing. Caroline’s faces – at Cameron’s expense – were so spirited and priceless! They were a joy to photograph.
The next morning, we headed to Southport, NC, where they are getting married, to do a mini-shoot. Downtown Southport is so darn cute… I am psyched to share in their big day next summer!

Caroline - OH MY GOSH Melissa, these are awesome!!! They are everything that I always wanted my engagement pictures to be. Thank you for capturing our relationship so perfectly, and for working with us so well. We had such a great time with you, and I can’t wait to see you again soon (and to see the rest of the photos!)!

CAROLINE + CAMERON MARRIED! » Melissa Williamson Photography Blog - [...] Caroline and Cameron were married on a super windy day in July at the Community Center in Southport, NC. It was threatening bad weather the majority of the day, but the rain held off until later in the evening. The wind gusts actually did ah-maaazing things for Caroline’s veil and kept everyone cool (enough). I had such a wonderful time spending the day with this crew.
